Crème Fraîche Cupcakes- Part Deux

The first advertised batch of Crème Fraîche Cupcakes went over pretty darn well. I say "advertised" because I've actually been making them intermittently for about two weeks, but I wanted to hold off telling you all about them until they were perfected. Yesterday after my post, I had two different people guy three boxes of nine between them. That was pretty much all I made that day. I never really thought that I would have much to offer people looking for an option for a birthday or special event dessert for a crowd, but a box of these babies seemed to fit the bill.

So today I'm back with double batches and two new flavors! "Hooray", I hear you all cheer! Take a look at the next two options. A special thanks to my foodie friend and hobbyist baker, Adam (to whom I would hyperlink if he had a blog, because he clearly should).

Okay, here are your results from a family of three adults, one child, and various adult friend good sports:
Lenon Dulce de Leche _ super yummy, fun, was there chocolsate wrongly in the filling?
Lemon Ginger-Utterly deldctable in every way
Peanut Butter banana Bacon- not a hit. Taster said pnut butter and bacon were not present in taste, unhappy
Chorizo-Date- adult and child were pleased
Cherry-marzipan- overall complaint of the white creme fraiche or butter cupcake is that the cake part is too dry, not moist enough, but these flavors melded well
Cocoa-nib rosemary-mint- perhaps more rosemary, but overall quite pleasant
Peanut butter and jelly- no complaints from a fairly picky eater
Coconut caramel - delightful in every way
lavender vanilla- I think, being a great fan of both these flavors, they'd be much better showcased in a creme fraiche cake with a white chocolate frosting
Balsamic-Pink Peppercorn-delicious in the dark chocolate cake, this is an appropriate, tasty pairing
Corn-nut Dulce de Leche- a feeling that the corn nuts were unnescessary and distracting
Chili-Burnt Caramel-Oh yes, oh yes, yes, yes, and this is even at the end when I'm afraid to taste any more is to invite nausea
Banana Rum Cigar-thankfully did not detect tobacco. Sweet banana is good
